ok... my last update was like on 26th may. thats v sad. cos its now august 20th?! haha. well . the most significant event during this LOOOONNG period is well Firstly, im the vice chair of GB, together with theodora (v chair) and zoe (chairperson). this new position has led me to one of the most memorable camps i think i'll ever have. NATIONAL CAMP '06

Honestly, i was rather reluctant to go since there was a lot of work to do and knowing me, i got stressed. I felt tt 4 days of my life (10th to 13th aug) was going to be wasted. but no it wasnt. I was "enrolled" into Echo company together with tiddy. that was the first good thing - i wasnt alone in the company. the second best thing is that in my platoon (E1), there were 4 other rg girls haha. 2 of which are my classmates!!! haha. so it wasnt really an inter sch thing. haha. but the ppl in my platoon are really nice. omg. at first, we were still warming up. it was rather obvious that the platoon was divided between girls n guys and within the girls, we were divided too. until the last two days when we actually talked more to each other. yup.

well, let me introduce myself. i'm the victim of platoon one. thank you eugene. lol. well he started it all. n everyone continued. i shall not elaborate too much into it since it would mean that i am teasing myself which makes no sense at all... there was basically this guy who kept calling my name (according to eugene n ammer n everyone else...) to ask me stuff. well, i still insist that its cos i hv a watch n he wanted to knw the time. nobody else had a watch. so ya. so from day 2 onwards i hv been teased non stop omg rite? it was hell. yet. it has been claimed that my being the victim has made our platoon more bonded since they all had a COMMON TOPIC. so i guess it was worth it. anyway, i hv absolutely no interest in that guy who was also the victim (i was more of a victim though).

throughout the camp, we did stuff like paintball,mountain biking, indoor challenge, frisbee thing...the most interesting few was 1. kayaking 2. rapelling 3. standard obstacle course 4. campfire. ok i shall start with kayaking. so there we were, kayaking in a reservoir...not v glam but the water was still salty. tiddy was my partner. :D when we rafted up, our kayak always ended up with the same few kayaks that belongs to guys that LOVED to splash water at each other. so since we were IN BETWEEN, we were drenched after the thing. as expected, we all got fibre glass cuts. bt tts nt the point. another thing we did was to stand on our kayaks in th middle of the water!!! omg i have nv done tt b4. well now i have. it was thrilling!!! we were at the marcy of our partners. then we stood up n started singing. lol. everyone was wet. n it turned out that my fav phrase was "whats ur problem?!!" cos everyone was like spashing water at us. so errr it came outta my mouth naturally.

ok moving on to rapelling. i kinda conquered my fear of heights. anyway. what was interesting was that at the top of the structure, the few of us were praying that we wld nt end up rapelling on the lane where Tommy was being ropeman. everyone seemed to come to the consensus that that would b our death date if we were to be rapelling on tt lane. haha. anw, i had a gd laugh until it was my turn. i looked down n i was glad. cos it turned out tt tommy was nt rapelling any lane. phew. haha. ok this is being mean but ya. JOY! :D the officer helping my in my lane loves pork noodles. i think tts wad u call it. ba chor mee. dunno lah. anyway when i was trying to concentrate to get to the bottom safely, he asked me if i loved ba chor mee... so din. but when i reach the bottom, i was asked to say by my platoon mate. so i said "i love ba chor mee" lol. lame like hell.

now, the standard obstacle course. there was the rope challenge, the swing trainer which i tried v hard to complete but to no avail. then i look at the other half of my platoon (the guys) it was like v easy for them? like a piece of cake. goodness. anw, there was the obstacle course tt involved the height element. we were supposed to walk on planks elevated from the ground. it looked easy. but no...my legs shook. so in order to help me complete it, an ncc officer called alvin came up. haha. so he was walking in front of me n when i was abt to collapse, i grabbed onto his arm. heng man. if nt i sure die. he helped tiddy too. n yep she v grateful. i shall leave it to her to tell u her story. :D he was really nice :D in fact all the officers are nice. he allowed us to step on his hand so tt we cld get over the "low" wall. haha. tiddy really appreciated tt :D

finally, the campfire. our company's fav phrase is "whatever, whatever, what, what, whatever!" so ya. durign the camp fire, if anybody or any company said anythn lame, we said tt phrase. haha. then we'll be waving our hands in the air rigidly.lol. its really cool. ammer tiddy i eugene monkey boy jonovan were sitting near each other. n eugene was trying v hard to force ammer tiddy n i (but mostly ammer since shes frm ncc) to speak in a low voice (raffles trade mark). well she din do it. lol. so in order to please him for tt single moment, we went low. during the song "it only takes a spark" when every single company was singing, it came to the part "we'll shout it frm the mountain top" so we went "raffles" in the low caveman voice. haha. the gusy were amazed. haha. go raffles! :D ammer told me i was the only one among tiddy ammer n i to go lowest. bt tts wad she said. perhaps i did. still, im sticking to gb, not going ncc (even though their voice is like v low). haha.

the camp was really memorable. n im gona organise the nxt platoon outing (yes eugene , ure involved too) together w the other rg girls i suppose. we're going to meet somewhere. hmmmmm. haven decided yet. but tiddy was really excited abt meeting at her pri sch on tchr's day celebration...its near her home. no wonder. it turned out tt marcus n tiddy are pri sch mates!! haha. same platoon somemore.haha. ya yup. its a long post. so if u even reached this sentence, i must congratulate u :D do tag on my board. haha.
